I love that you’re doing a show on animals and their spiritual connection to us. I’ve grown more aware than ever of their responsibility to us bipeds as healers in our lives. Recently I had an “Aha” moment when I realized that, since their lives are so short in those animal bodies, they have to keep coming back to us, rising like the phoenix each time. Each pet that comes into our lives after each loss is them in another new vehicle to keep their physical ties with us. And to also help us heal from the loss before. Can’t get anymore unconditional than that! I too had an experience 3 years ago when my cat, Frankie had been put to sleep. That night as I was lying in bed with my other cat, Gracie, right at the foot, we suddenly heard some meows coming from the other room. Her head jerked up at the same time as mine looking in the same direction. I knew it was Frankie because I recognized his voice. A few months later I found Maxie, and she has Frankie’s exact personality. May have changed the gender but has the same craziness as her former incarnation.
