Orion passed this past January on 1/19/19. He just turned 16. He stopped eating so I knew time was near. I was debating on whether to put him down or wait to see if nature took its course. I called my vet and made arrangements to have her come to the house but later that day I cancelled. I just wasn’t ready. It was a huge struggle for me to make the decision. I asked my guides to give me a sign of what to do and didn’t it happen, at least not that day.
The next day I was working at home and heard a crash. I immediately rushed to the hallway and saw broken plastic in front of my door but couldn’t see where it came from. Down the hall was a wall plate hanging that said, “faith, love, hope” that was on the floor. It had been on the wall for about 3 months being hung by those self adhesives hooks. Only the ‘faith’ plate broke. I picked up the wall hanging and placed it on the table and was bummed it broke and walked away. About an hour later, I thought there was my sign…. the “faith plate” broke. It has been on the wall for 3 months and today it decided to fall. That can’t be a coincidence. I interpretative this as I need to have faith and not to walk in fear. I felt so much better about my decision to put him down. I waited to the next morning and took him to the vet. They actually had a bereavement room which was set up like a living room so it made Orion more comfortable. His crossing was very sad but beautiful at the same time.
I asked for him to let me know he was ok and to come into my dreams. That night, I dreamed of a black silhouette of a cat sitting my chest. The background was very orange like the sun. It was like the orange light was casting a dark shadow on him. I could not see features only the outline. He head was tilted as if he was looking directly at me while sitting on my chest. I could also see an outline of him wearing a necklace, like a medallion as I can see an outline of a coin. The dream was literally a snapshot but remember it like it was yesterday. Later I was still puzzled of why he would be wearing a medallion necklace. He never wore a collar of any sort. Then I remembered at the pet crematorium I was told every animal gets their own personal medallion along the crematory process to show those remains are only that animal.
Thanks again for taking the time to read my story. I love telling it but some people may think I am crazy so when I get the opportunity, I share.
